I know I always say this, but time flies. It’s already been two months since his birthday? Really? Anyway, here we are, 14 months.
Jake is a happy, healthy bundle of love and laughter. He is about 30 inches and about 28 pounds. He has 8 beautiful teeth, and almost no hair. He says mama, dada, hey, hi, bye, yeah, no, and wow. He nods yes and shakes his head no, waves bye bye, give kisses, pretends to snore, plays drums, and dances anytime there is music. He will point his finger at things he wants, or take you by the hand and show you what he wants. He loves books and baths and being outside.
So, I know I said I was going to quit pumping, but I still haven’t. He wasn’t ready, and neither was I. We are really struggling with this bottle-to-cup transition, and we are still working it out. I have purchased approximately 139873578 different sippy cups, most of which he had no interest in. He loves drinking out of a regular cup, so we’ve tried finding spoutless sippies and he seems to prefer those. He still nurses when we are together, usually only when he’s tired. He still doesn’t sleep through the night, but we do okay.
He is possibly the world’s easiest child. He is almost always happy and we’ll-behaved. We are so lucky.
