Ahh, what a fun age! As his personality continues to grow, Jake construal lay reminds us just how blessed we are to be his parents.
At about 28 pounds, he is built solid for sure, but those chunky little baby rolls are starting to slim down since he’s always on the go.He loves food, and I can’t think of a single thing he doesn’t eat. He is still nursing (and I’m still pumping), but it’s getting to be less and less. He slept through the night for the first time ever about a week ago, which was ah-ma-zing for mama.
He is learning so much all the time. He is a great helper – he helps me with laundry and the dishes. His vocabulary is growing (although that little pointer finger is still his primary means of communication), and includes mama, dada, hey, hi, bye, aww, baby, and wow. He still only has 8 teeth, but I can definitely tell that more are coming soon by the volume of drool and the fact that he is chewing his hands a lot lately.
He loves his mama, but he definitely loves being with the guys too – Daddy, Granddaddy, and Big Daddy are his favorite playmates. He loves to play outside, kick a ball, draw with chalk, and play with bubbles. We definitely have a toddler instead of a baby now!
